Trailer kit for 14.2 and under

The lorry kit has been in use, successfully for a number of years. This didn't help trailer users. We developed a trailer kit which has proved to be great for horses. However valuable feedback from our customers told us that it was impossible to fit the attachments low enough on the partition for ponies. The adapted trailer kit was born.

The only down side is that this harness is not able to be used in a lorry as well as a trailer in the same way the horse version is.

A big plus is that THIS VERSION IS AN IDENTICAL HARNESS TO THE LORRY VERSION and as such if you move to or from a lorry in either direction you just need to buy a fitting kit to adapt.

This is Cohen, he is an 8 year old, 17hh, warmblood, competition horse. He has always travelled well but gets stressed if he’s alone while the lorry is stationary. Has been know to try come over the breast bar.

Since travelling in the Equi Travel safe he’s travelled the same but not since tried to come over the breast bar.

He seems really happy wearing the harness.

This is Rumour, she's a 10 years old, 16hh, ISH, competition horse.

She has always travelled well and never tried to rear or jump. We found she travelled exactly the same with no obvious differences between wearing it or not wearing it. There was one small negative, she had sweated a little bit under the pad. It was a warm day they were stood still on the lorry for 25mins while not moving.

This part of the Equi Travel Safe is worth mentioning. it's situated at the horses chest and is where the Horsebox Strap attaches to the harness.
While designing the Equi Travel Safe, we spent a lot of time watching horses travelling. We were amazed just how much they actually move. They constantly sway side to side and backwards and forward as they are driven around, most of the time without even moving their feet. This is how they balance. We knew this movement must not be stifled in anyway. So when we designed the harness, we added this clever Thea Ring. This allows the Horsebox Strap to move fluidly this ring, allowing the horse to move unrestricted and means the harness won't move on the horse causing rubbing. Genius!

Notice how the horse isn't fasten in tightly, they are more restricted by the confines of the horse box. The Equi Travel Harness is just there to reduce this risk of them jumping or rearing.

This is Stan, he's 3 years old, unbroken and around 14hh. He's never worn a saddle so wearing the harness would of been a new experience for him.

He's known to be a bad traveller. In the past he has jumped over a breast bar in a trailer and rears onto the lockers in his owners 7.5ton lorry while travelling herringbone.

He was a star to have the harness put on and fitted and was also good to load. As soon as we left him on the lorry he started messing around, his owners said this was normal for him. We set off driving and he was moving around quite a lot. Towards the middle of the short journey, he started to try jump the breast bar. He tried three times in total and the harness did its job and prevented him jumping out. When he realised he couldnt jump, he stopped trying.
